Being connected in our community changes everything. Deacons are the heart of our church family, providing for the needs of the congregation and community. Here are some of the ways our Deacons are at work:
Our church supports several different Missions throughout the year. Some are done as direct mission offerings from our church, some offerings we do as individuals as we feel led, and some offerings are raised through the Bedwell Scripture Memorization fund. Here are a few of the Mission Projects we support annually:
PDA enables congregations and PCUSA (Presbyterian Church USA) mission partners to witness the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events such as earthquake, fire, hurricane and tornados, across the country.
This mission (started by Marissa from within our own congregation) helps Ninos de Guatemala, a school in Guatemala, with money for much needed school supplies and equipment to enhance the students learning.
P4P is a fund-raising bike ride that takes place every year to raise money to purchase protein rich food for our local food banks to distribute to people experiencing food insecurity.
